PARIS-MOVE, May 6th 2025 – Michelle Lordi Brings Her Spellbinding Voice to Duc des Lombards.
One of America’s most captivating vocalists, Michelle Lordi, will take the stage at Paris’s famed Duc des Lombards on May 30 and 31, joined by the Matthew Parrish Trio.
The trio, featuring pianist Vincent Bourgeyx, legendary saxophonist Houston Person, and bassist Matthew Parrish, is a Parisian event in its own right. Paired with Lordi’s luminous voice and some of the most poetic lyrics in 21st-century jazz, these performances promise an evening of rare musical intimacy and depth.
Reflecting on Lordi’s 2023 release Two Moons, I wrote in 2023: “This is an artist who belongs on a label like Mack Avenue or Blue Note, labels where the word ‘creation’ still means something.” That sentiment captures the weight and elegance Lordi brings to every note.
Parisians will have two chances each night to experience this remarkable artist: 2 sets scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and/or 10:00 p.m.
